Once in a very, very house there lived a very, very cat and a lot of very, very mice.

The cat, whose name was Tom, lived in the kitchen. The mice lived under the kitchen.

Where could the little mice get to eat? In the kitchen, of course! But there was the cat there! He could eat them!

They thought what to do. They thought and thought, and thought…

Then a very, very mouse had an idea. She said, “Let’s go to the kitchen when Tom is not there.”

“That’s not a bad idea!” said -mouse. “But the cat runs than you. He can and eat you.”

All the mice thought and thought and thought again… Then the mouse who was than the other mice said: “I think I what to do. Let’s buy a TV set for Tom. We all know that he likes watching TV very much. When he is busy watching TV we can eat all the food we want.”

All the mice liked the idea very much. So they to the shop and a TV set for Tom.

Now every evening Tom TV and the mice have a very good supper in the kitchen. They can eat all the things they want.

Притяжательный падеж

Форму притяжательного падежа обычно имеют одушевленные существительные (человек, животное), которому принадлежит какой-нибудь предмет, качество или признак. Она образуется при помощи окончания -s, перед которым стоит апостроф: the girl  девочка — the girl’s bag сумка девочки.

Present simple tense Настоящее простое время

Present Simple используется, чтобы обозначить то действие, которое происходит постоянно, которое повторяется, которое происходит каждый день. В этом случае в предложении могут присутствовать  слова-помощники  always (всегда),  usually (обычно),  often (часто),  sometimes (иногда), never (никогда), every day / every week (каждый день / каждую неделю) и т. д.

I always close the window in the evening. – Я всегда закрываю окно вечером. 

 I go to school every morning. – Я хожу в школу каждое утро (действие повторяется каждый день).

Мы используем Present Simple, когда говорим о законах природы, научных фактах, общепринятых утверждениях или общеизвестных фактах.
